Where did you go to school?

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.

Why Scott and Company?

In 2003, a call from a head hunter led me to a breakfast meeting with the late Randy Scott, the firm’s founding partner. Meeting him made the decision for me – I really liked Randy and knew I would enjoy working at Scott and Company. I also liked the idea of working in downtown Columbia again.

What do you like best about the area?

I live in the Golden Hills subdivision in Lexington with my wife and our two children. The pool and tennis courts are a short walk from the front door, but what I really enjoy is being in a golf community. Our proximity to the course makes it easy to keep up on my favorite pastime. Lexington’s schools have excellent teachers and facilities, and my church, Lexington United Methodist Church, is known for its great children’s program. Overall, it’s a fantastic area to live and raise my family while still being close to downtown Columbia.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

I don’t know if it is considered a “super power” or not, but it would be great to have the ability to make my kids stop fighting, especially while I am driving! Maybe if I had Spider-Man’s ability to shoot webs, I could keep the kids separated and in their seats.
