I joined the firm in January 2017.
Where did you go to college?
I currently attend the University of South Carolina.
Why did you choose Scott and Company?
Scott and Company is a great place to intern! I love the environment and working with everybody in the office. Every day offers a great experience that will help me going forward in accounting. I also enjoy working on Main Street – it makes me feel even more at home in Columbia.
What do you enjoy most about living in Columbia?
I enjoy attending the Gamecocks sporting events, and I like the way the entire community comes out to support them. I also love the Riverwalk and the other great parks around the city.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Where are you in school/what are your future plans?
I received my undergraduate degree in December 2017. I just started graduate school and will be finished in May 2019. I plan to get my CPA certification and work on the tax side of public accounting. I would like to work in Columbia or Greenville after I graduate.
What is your favorite place to go and why?
My favorite place to go is the Appalachian Mountains. I love hiking, and getting out into nature always provides a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle of life. I have always found that there is nothing better than hiking to the top of a mountain and marveling at the view.
